|  1 lb. pkg 15 beans, dried |
 1-2 large onion, minced |
|  2-3 carrots, minced |
 2-3 stalks celery, minced |
|  4 potatoes, cubed |
 1-2 ham hocks (I trim off the fat) |
|  1 bay leaf |
 salt and pepper to taste |
|  1-2 cloves garlic or 1/4 tsp dried garlic |
 2 Tbsp. (beef bouillon) |
|  2 tsp celery salt |
 1 tsp galic powder |
|  1 tsp onion powder |
 1 c. lean ham, cubed, or julienne |

| Directions |
Cook in crock pot or over medium-low heat until tender. Remove bay leaf. Can add
ham towards the end. I cook ham hock in some water and skim off the fat and then
put the broth into the soup. I then cut off the meat into small pieces removing extra fat. |
